ABOUT US

What we do: The Little Black Dress Brigade is committed to turning your wedding, party, fundraiser, or special event into an occasion!  We work with brides and hostesses to keep their event within budget and specialize in unique floral designs, attention to details and quality control.  We pride ourselves in not locking you into "packages."  We meet with the bride or hostess, hear her ideas and learn about the event's budget and talk about the areas that LBDB can assist.  LBDB presents an estimate on the costs and once agreed upon a contract is drawn up and a deposit is required to hold the date.  From the time of the contract until the event we promise to work hard for you!

Where did the name come from? The idea for the name came from two sources: The “little black dress,” an essential in every woman’s wardrobe; and a “brigade” or a group of soldiers. We’re known for this unique mix of elegance and our willingness to roll up our sleeves to make it happen. Our goal is to help you plan, prepare and present the perfect event!

Ari Stanage Mitchell grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and has also lived in Dallas and Little Rock.  She was bitten by the entertainment bug early and has always had a lifelong passion for flowers but that passion didn’t fully “blossom” until she began planning a destination wedding.  While looking through inspiration photo and getting tired of hearing “no” from the florist at the event site she decided to just make the bouquets and boutonničres herself.  What started as a floral design hobby has now become a career.  Ari has done work on a wide variety of events including weddings, birthday parties, political fundraisers, and holiday parties.  She comes from a customer service driven corporate environment and understands that the relationship she has with a customer is LBDB's most valuable asset.  Ari isn't driven by a corporate mindset, however, and is a mother first and values working with others who understand the sacrifices that come with running both a household and a business.
